Javonne M. Davis

March 4, 2003 ~ November 13, 2018 (age 15)

 

Javonne Micheal Jaylin Luke Davis was born on March 3, 2003 to Jamie Utley Davis and the late Walter M.  Davis Sr. As a child Javonne attended Head Start, Bonsall Family School, Whittier,  Wiggins, and Camden High School. Javonne was an Honor Roll student who loved to learn. He was also a part of the Rutgers Future Scholars Program where he gained a 4 year scholarship to Rutgers University. He intended to go to Rutgers to obtain his Business Degree, so that he could own his own Barbershop. 

 

Javonne was a natural athlete that played a number of sports for Wiggins Middle School. His favorite sport to play was Football. For 4 years Javonne played for the Staley Park Panthers and lead his team fearlessly to many victories. Throughout his entire city Javonne was loved by all of his friends, family, and teachers. The children that grew up in the neighborhoods with Javonne recall many happy memories of them hanging out together. Javonne was known for protecting his fellow students. He loved them very much. 

The most prized possession that Javonne held closet to his heart was his infant daughter Arianna Alexis Davis, Daddy's little princess.  A month prior marking the date of his passing Javonne wrote about his daughter in class expressing how much he loved her. Javonne loved his daughter with all his heart because he was her protector.

Javonne is was preceded in death by his father Walter Davis, Sr., his grandmothers Roberta Davis, Geneva Utley-Henderson, and his grandfather Ernest Davis Sr.

Javonne leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Arianna Alexis Davis, his mother Jamie Utley, sister’s Rondaizha Coleman, Raven Utley, and Fantaishya Utley, brothers Mobolaji Utley , Walter Davis, Jr. His grandfather Pastor James Henderson, Sr., his uncles James Henderson, Jr., (Jessica), Ernest Davis, Jr., his aunts Carol Murray, Cadreena Utley, Keya Harris, Meredith Utley (troy). His god-brothers James Henderson, III and Yaqshaan Harris, god-sisters Jacilla Henderson, his god-sons Jayceon Goldsboro and Nijior Lightfoot-Boggs. And a host of cousins friends.
